New art, who dis?

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has more than 34,000 works of art (and counting) in its collection. And while we adore roaming endlessly through the recently revamped museum's seven gorgeous floors, it's kind of tough to keep up.

Earlier this month, the venerable institution got all mobile with the launch of Send Me SFMOMA, which so far has delivered thousands of works of art, via text message, to people all over the globe. You simply text SFMOMA with a key word or artist's name or even an emoji, and SFMOMA will reply with a fitting piece from its collection.

We couldn't resist trying out some emojis with the mother of our city's art museums. Here are our 13 texts along with their artful replies.

// To participate in Send Me SFMOMA, text "Send me" followed by a keyword, color or emoji to the number 572-51. For more information, visit sfmoma.org.
