5 Cravings, From Fried Avocado to East Coast Deli Sandwiches

By

Senior editor Schuyler Bailey, who mows her way around town for the sake of the Eat + Drink section, is hungry. Here's what she's hankering for this month.

1. The Italian Combo at Merigan

Merigan fulfills my long-lost dreams of East Coast deli sandwiches with the
Italian combo (mortadella, salami, prosciutto cotto, provolone, shredded lettuce, onion, dressing, hots, tomato).

2.Church at Locanda

There’s no better cocktail to usher in warm weather than Locanda’s Church, a punchy mix of Aperol, gin, Cocchi Americano, and lemon.

3. Fried avocado taco at Loló

As if a taco couldn’t get more appealing, Loló has stuffed its latest iteration with fried avocado to celebrate its new Valencia location. Hallelujah.

4. Ocean trout at Ichi Sushi + Ni Bar

Slurping the dashi broth with the ocean trout at ICHI Sushi + NI Bar tastes like Japanese tradition—and it is amazing.

5. Poco Dolce's Aztec Chile Bittersweet Tile

Poco Dolce’s Aztec Chile bittersweet tile is just the zip I need on a Monday afternoon.
