After a weekend-plus of stuffing myself silly, I’m craving greens and more greens. Enter the winter salad, piled high with a trio of mixed greens, arugula, and dino kale, plus enough roasted brussel sprouts, broccoli, roasted winter squash, pomegranate seeds, pinenuts, and parmesan reggiano to keep things interesting. Menu al Prezzo Fisso at Cotogna

I challenge you to find a better lunch option than the one at Cotogna. The current menu al prezzo fisso (the Italian version of a prix fixe) gets you a bright salad of chicories, Valencia orange, pecorino, and walnut; classic strozzapreti cacio e pepe (pasta, cheese, pepper, yum); and a dark chocolate budino with nocino liqueur served in a dainty glass jar. On a dreary afternoon, fill a corner table with raw oysters (I love me some Marin Miyagis), impossibly thin shoestring potatoes, and a glass of crisp French rosé. Trout tostada at Cala

The sex appeal at recently opened Cala is undeniable, and the bar is one of the hottest seats in town. Do yourself a solid by saddling up to it with a Paloma cocktail and plenty of apps, including the trout tostada: a toothsome chip topped with chipotle, layers of succulent trout, dollops of avocado, and crispy fried leeks.
