To kick off the first installment of the exclusive MusicBox live music series hosted by 7x7sf.com and Heineken, indie rocker Chris Clouse played an intimate set for a high-profile cocktail-sipping crowd at Notte.  

 

The Power of Green

SF Green Connect threw a party, sponsored by PG&E’s ClimateSmart, to launch newly installed solar panels at San Francisco Giants AT&T Park. After some cocktails and nibbles, guests stayed to watch the Giants play the Diamondbacks.

Me and My Berry Bowl

Does anybody out there have a berry bowl, or know what one is?

I had never even seen or heard of them until a few months ago. Over Memorial Day weekend, I reunited with my parents and close family in Vermont. It was my cousin Pete’s graduation from Middlebury (my alma mater) and former President Clinton was the speaker—all worth a cross-country trip. As my father ceaselessly reminded me, it had been 12 years since my graduation, however, much to my relief, not much had changed. In fact, it felt like I’d never left.

Shredding Air

At the second annual Bay Area regional Air Guitar Championship held at the Independent contestants rocked out and got their invisible shred on while donning mullets, leather and headbands. The winner of the of contest was the formidable Ricky Stickfingers. Rock on Ricky!

Canadian singer-songwriter and member of Broken Social Scene Leslie Feist better known simply as Feist performed two sold out shows at the Fillmore. Brooklyn-based indie "it" band Grizzly Bear opened both shows.
