A Cross-Cultural Wedding at St. Patrick’s Church

By

Jennifer and Jacques met on a blind date set up by mutual friends; it was love at first sight. The couple used their wedding as the perfect occasion to start mixing their separate Chinese and French cultures into one.

The couple's traditional wedding ceremony took place at St. Patrick’s Church where the bride glided down the aisle in a custom Jin Wang dress featuring a lace jacket with Chinese feathers. After, the newlyweds stopped by the waterfront to snap some pictures before arriving at their reception at the Olympic Club.

The fall inspired reception brought together warm earth tones and was accentuated by seasonal persimmons, which were not only table place card holders, but also served as party gifts. Guests were led to tables named after different Chinese and French cities and chalkboard menus displayed the scrumptious dinner options.

Chinese lion dancers and drummers performed at the beginning of the reception to get the party started.
