Todd Sotkiewicz | President

Delighting in the energy of boisterous business environments, Todd Sotkiewicz fits right in as the President of Hartle Media. During his seven-year stint as the President/General Manager of Lonely Planet, Todd managed all operations with domestic and international sales in the United States, Canada and Latin America and worked to re-start and grow the business following 9/11. After diversifying and doubling the company’s revenue base, Todd was a key leader in selling the business to the BBC in 2008. Earlier in his career, Todd served as the Vice President-Sales at Ebates and the Senior Vice President-Operations and Administration at Big Words. Working as the General Manager/Senior Vice President of Wired in the ‘90s, Todd worked closely with the magazine’s founders, built financial and operational infrastructure and managed the customer acquisition team. A fitness enthusiast who regularly runs, bikes or swims at 5:30 AM, Todd is also a doting dad with an iPhone full of snapshots showcasing his son and daughter.

Susie McCormick | Executive Publisher

Executive Publisher Susie McCormick has had a long, successful career as a publisher launching magazines in San Francisco. A former publisher of San Francisco Focus, Susie also launched and served as the publisher of WHERE San Francisco.

Nion McEvoy | Chairman & CEO of Chronicle Books LLC

Nion McEvoy is the Chairman & CEO of Chronicle Books LLC, an independent publishing company based in San Francisco. Chronicle Books is known for its excellence in design and production, and the strong popular appeal of its titles, which include such best-sellers as The Beatles Anthology, The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook and Weber’s Art of the Grill. In addition, Chronicle Books creates note cards, calendars and stationery products featuring anything from the works of William Wegman and the menus of Chez Panisse to Goth ‘tween icon Emily the Strange. Mr. McEvoy joined Chronicle Books in 1986, and served as the editor in chief of the adult trade division until the acquisition of the company by the McEvoy Group in February 2000. Previously, he worked in the business affairs departments of the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills and of Wescom Productions; he is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz and Hastings College of the Law. He currently serves on the boards of SFJAZZ, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and Tricycle: The Buddhist Review. He has three children, and plays drums in the elusive rock band Rough Draft.
