Last night, the Bay Area was lit.

There's no Fourth of July celebration without blazing multihued firecrackers, and this year's celebration was no exception. There was the usual staggering show at Pier 39 as well as impromptu Roman candles shooting off in the Mission, raging street parties and mellow rooftop gatherings.
