Aisha Tyler, Tracy Morgan, and More Ways to Laugh Your Ass Off This Month

Aisha Tyler, Tracy Morgan, and More Ways to Laugh Your Ass Off This Month

From Saturday Night Live alums to Bay Area natives, San Francisco will be a funny place for the next two weeks.

Tommy Johnagin

In addition to appearing on numerous talks hows and comedy festivals, Tommy Johnagin's autobiographical brand of comedy earned him second place on NBC's Last Comic Standing.
When: Various times, May 28-31
Where: Punch Line Comedy Club, 444 Battery St.

Tracy Morgan

The Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock alum descends upon the city for an evening of fun and laughs (and I am 99 percent sure that he will expose his belly at least once during his set).
When: 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29
Where: Palace of Fine Arts, 3301 Lyon St.

What Mama Said About "Down There"

One part stand-up comedy, one part multimedia performance, What Mama Said About "Down There" is exactly what it sounds like: a show about everything you need to know about "down there," aka the crotch region.
When: 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29
Where: Our Little Comedy Theater, 287 Ellis St.

Charlie Murphy

The star of Are We There Yet? and The Chappelle Show brings his stand-up to San Francisco. And yes, he is Eddie Murphy's brother.
When: Various times, May 30-June 1
Where: Cobb's Comedy Club, 915 Columbus Ave.

David Spade

First Tracy Morgan and now David Spade? The summer must be the best time for Saturday Night Live alums to flock to San Francisco. Known for his role on Rules of Engagement and comedy masterpieces like Tommy Boy, Spade comes to SF to perform some good ol' fashioned stand-up comedy.
When: Various times, June 3-4
Where: Cobb's Comedy Club, 915 Columbus Ave.

Rory Scovel

He's been doing the festival circuit for years and you've probably heard him once or twice or three times causing a ruckus on Doug Benson's podcast, "Doug Loves Movies" as well as other go-to podcasts and TV shows for comedy nerds. He also stars in the sitcom Ground Floor and his improv has been called "near-genius." That means he is worth your time.
When: Various times, June 4-7
Where: Punch Line Comedy Club, 444 Battery St.

Aisha Tyler

She's one of the ladies on The Talk and she voices Lana Kane on Archer, one of the most brilliantly crude Bond spoofs ever. You also may be a fan of her own podcast, "Girl on Guy" (if you're not you should be). That said, we are proud to welcome the Oakland native back to the Bay Area.
When: Various times, June 6-7
Where: Cobb's Comedy Club, 915 Columbus Ave.

Lisa Lampanelli

Lampanelli's upfront and honest (some may say brash) style of stand-up has earned her the title of Queen of Mean in the world of comedy. Mean or not, her comedy has the stamp of approval from people like Howard Stern and Jim Carrey, so she has to be doing something right.
When: 9:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7
Where: The Warfield, 982 Market St.

Square Bear Comedy Show

Host Victor Perez got his start in comedy by quitting his job and becoming a dishwasher at a comedy club – and it paid off. He now hosts the "Square Bear Comedy Show" which features up and coming Bay Area comedians that you need know about.
When: 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 8
Where: Cobb's Comedy Club, 915 Columbus Ave.

Sammy Obeid & Friends

He's an Oakland native, UC Berkeley graduate, competed on NBC's America's Got Talent, and reigns over KO Comedy, his own comedy enterprise. He performs in the San Francisco Bay Area a lot, but this time, he's brought a few friends along.
When: 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10
Where: Punch Line Comedy Club, 444 Battery St.
