When it comes to comedy, there is never a shortage of shows in San Francisco. In the next two weeks, we get blessed with Police Academy royalty, Shakespeare's version of a romantic comedy and a history of San Francisco with a humorous edge.

He's the host of Very Funny News and Trends with Benefits on TBS. He's also the host of MTV2's Guy Code, appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and has been featured on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast and on This American Life with Ira Glass. So why not see him live?

BATS Improv: This Just In (Ripped From the Headlines)

The San Francisco-based improv crew brings us the debut of their newest show that leaves no comedy stone unturned when it comes to politics, current events and the most snark-worthy news of the day.

Porchlight Storytelling Series: As Luck Would Have It. 11 Year Anniversary!

The popular storytelling event celebrates 11 years with some of their favorite storytellers including literary star Michelle Tea, English bookbinder Dominic Riley, musician Anthony Bedrad and many others who will light up the stage with their real-life stories that are destined to make you chuckle.

Hysterical Historical San Francisco with Kurt Weitzmann

The lauded comic Kurt Weitzmann  gives his take on the history of San Francisco, making it more interesting and funnier than it really is.

The Sullivan & Son Comedy Tour

Comedic actors Steve Byrne, Owen Benjamin, Roy Wood Jr., and Ahmed Ahmed of the hit TBS show Sullivan & Son join forces to bring their laughs from TV to the live stage.

Adam Ray

He has appeared on multiple TV comedies like Workaholics, 2 Broke Girls, and one of the best comedies of all time: Arrested Development. For big comedy nerds, he popped up on NTSF:SD:SUV on Adult Swim and most recently he appeared in The Heat starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. So if you like all of that – as you should – you'll enjoy his shows at Punchline.

Slanted Comedy

The longest Asian comedy show comes to the city and showcases the talent of Josef Anolin, Yoshi, Walter Hong, Ron Josol, and Joey Guila.

Bobcat Goldthwait with Jay Larson

The Police Academy star is still going strong as a stand-up comedian and a director (his indie dark comedy God Bless America won the hearts of cult audiences everywhere). He brings his brand of comedy to San Francisco with fellow funnyman Jay Larson.

Filmdrunk and Friends 

The wonderful film site of irreverence hosts a night of stand-up comedy with up-and-coming comics that are the funniest in the land.

Dome Cleaning Presents American Me Comedy with Ben Gleib

Presents by the “Caucasian Asian” Jason Rogers, the comedy show will probably be the most diverse comedy show you will ever see, bringing together comedians from all walks of life as they tell their tales of unique (and funny) experiences in life.
