On Muni, plugged into your iPod, playing games on your phone or engrossed in a magazine, it's easy to feel like an island amidst the sea of craziness washing through our bus lines everyday. But reading beloved city blog Muni Diaries makes us remember that we're all in this together, that SF is a community of passionate people who will tell you exactly what they're thinking and feeling at the drop of a hat.

To commemorate Muni Diaries' upcoming third birthday, Bay Area arts luminaries, writers and spoken word grand slam champions are coming together for a very special rendition of Muni Diaries Live, taking place April 22 at the Make Out Room. And as always, audience participation is a must, so bring your own stories of love and hate to share!

It's an onstage saga of the highs and lows of public transportation, fueled by cocktails, love and hatred for Muni. Only this time, big names such as H.P. Mendoza (creator of Colma: the Musical and director of Fruitfly), two-time Oakland Spoken Word Grand Slam Champion Joyce Lee, and author Jan Richman will bring down the house with their own sordid tales.

Grab advance tickets here or pay $10 at the door. The show goes from 7:30-9:30 pm.
