Photos: 7x7 and Pacific Gas & Electric's Awards Ceremony for San Francisco's Favorite Charities 2011

The holiday season got significantly warmer on December 12th, when 7x7 and PG&E culminated the second annual search for San Francisco's most beloved nonprofit organizations with a lovely reception at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Representatives from the seven charity finalists—the Hearing & Speech Center Of Northern California, Lyon-Martin Health Services, Mayor's Youth Employment & Education Program, Minds Matter, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, Saving Grace Rescue, and the San Francisco Asian Women's Shelter—gathered in one of the hotel's beautiful ballrooms well-appointed by our friends at Blueprint Studios, and enjoyed festive drinks and delicious bites from the Four Seasons' catering menu.

PG&E's Vice-President of Community Relations, Ezra Garrett and 7x7's President Todd Sotkiewicz greeted the guests and welcomed representatives from the six runners-up, who each received $2,000 grants from PG&E to continue their amazing work. This year's top finalist, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, received a special check for $10,000.00, which was accepted by executive director and founder Sherri Franklin.

Find out more about each finalist here, and please consider donating time, energy, and resources to them or to any of the wonderful organizations working to make the Bay Area a better place to thrive!
