Photos: Dress for Success SF Launches Success: You Wear it Well 2012

On May 2, Dress for Success San Francisco supporters gathered at Bloomingdale's to celebrate the launch of Success: You Wear it Well —the highly-anticipated annual fashion event coming back on July 26th (tickets to this fantastic event are available here!)

Dress for Success San Francisco will stage the big event, Success: You Wear it Well, at Sir Francis Drake, a Kimpton Hotel. Get your tickets now for a fabulous cocktail party, seated dinner by Scala’s Bistro, fashion show by Banana Republic and silent and live auctions benefiting the employment programs and resources necessary to help suit and prepare disadvantaged women in the Bay Area to enter into the workforce.

At the launch event, guests encountered contemporary fashions and suiting options with music by DJ Dylan Mahoney. Complimentary makeovers were given by Benefit cosmeticsChandon sparkling wine and Wente wines were provided for guests to sip and enjoy, and E&O Trading Company provided tasty treats for the guests. 

The launch welcomed over 100 guests who enjoyed the luxurious evening thanks to Gala Co-chairs Andrew Freeman, Maggie Hazelrig and Lisa Edwards, who emphasized the importance and impact that Dress for Success San Francisco programs have in the greater community. 

Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success was created to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Serving more than 550,000 women internationally, they provide a five part program including the Suiting Program, employment retention program, known as the Professional Women's Group, the job search program, Going Places Network as well as the Career Center and Financial Literacy program.
