Scenes of the City: 23rd Annual Jimmy’s Old Car Picnic

A sunny scene for the car show on Saturday. The show is the largest and longest-running of its kind in San Francisco.

Saturday's sunny afternoon was ideal for hanging out in Golden Gate Park at the 23rd Annual Jimmy's Old Car Picnic. The wide array of vintage cars and BBQ proved to be a great alternative to the crowds at TI Music Fest.

People came in droves to see the shining spectacle that included cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

The picnic of foreign and domestic cars has grown ever since it's incarnation on 1988.

There was no car in the field newer than 1980.

The show started when car-loving friends gathered together in Golden Gate Park to celebrate Jimmy O'Keefe's birthday.
