CARROTS Sale

Brace your wallets. Starting Wednesday, the 4,000-square-foot luxury emporium and women's boutique Carrots is taking 60 percent off all collections including apparel and accessories. That means items from Maison Martin, BLK DNM, and Zero Maria Cornejo will all be on sale. Plus, reduced apothecary lines like, Cire Trudon and Santa Maria Novella. And don't forget shoes, sunglasses, and jewlery. You're gonna want to get there early for this one.

Spring Fashion and Technology at Runway 

San Francisco's hottest incubator space, Runway is hosting a fashion event for women in technology. This will be an evening of style and lively discussion hosted by writer, entrepreneur, and all around badass Rachel Sklar. Local brands Betabrand, Blu Kicks, and Saako will be featured along with a fashion show styled by MDP. You'll also get the chance to meet FashionFinder – SF's newest and most innovative fashion app – and shop at special discounted prices. Complimentary gift bags feature The Balm Cosmetics and a $20 coupon towards each of the participating brands. And if all that isn't enough, there'll also be an open bar. All proceeds benefit She's The First, which sponsors girls' education in developing countries.

The Search For Hunky Jesus and Foxy Mary

The season's most blasphemous event is back for another year, but this time around the search for the sexiest savior will be held in Golden Gate Park. The usual family-friendly Easter fun will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., but the real party starts with a burlesque show, the Hunky Jesus contest and (for the first time ever!) a Foxy Mary contest. That's right ladies; you'll also get your chance to sexy don sheets and halos.

Party After Dark at the Academy of Science

Cal Academy is throwing one of the biggest parties of the year featuring booze, dancing, and science. Party After Dark takes over the museum's indoor and outdoor space and features a live DJ set from indie-rockers Ra Ra Riot and Youngblood Hawke. Photo booths, complimentary bites, open bars, light projections, and food trucks will abound. Plus there'll be a Silent Disco. Seriously, what more could you want? 

Thursday, 4/24, $100, 8:30 p.m. - midnight.

Acis and Galatea with Isaac Mizrahi 

For the world premiere of his production of Handel's Acis and Galatea – an epic love story between a nymph and a shepherd based on Ovid's Metamorphoses – Brooklyn choreographer Mark Morris commissioned San Francisco's Philharmonic Baroque Orchestra and Corale to perform the score and legendary fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi to dream up costumes benefitting modern-day forest sprites. - Allison McCarthy
