This Week's Hottest Events: SBTRKT, Bon Iver, and Earth Day Activities

Sbtrkt

Music
Sbtrkt, Florence and the Machine, Bon Iver, etc.
It's like Coachella in SF this week for all of us not headed south for the fest. Sbtrkt's playing the Independent on 4/16. Justice is at the Fox on 4/17. Gotye plays Bill Graham on 4/18 while First Aid Kit (who opened for Lykke Li) takes the stage at Slim's. And if you're up for a trek east, you can catch Florence and the Machine at the Mondavi Center in Davis. On Thurs. 4/19, Bon Iver fills up Bill Graham and you can get your dance on for M83's Fillmore shows on 4/22-23. A lot of these shows are already sold-out, so Craigslist will be your best friend.
When: various dates
Where: various venues

Performance
Union Square Live
Unique Square's spring/summer season of free performances of music, dance, movies, and more kicks off with a show by local retro and soul band Lord Loves a Working Man. If you get there early, you might score a pastry from Emporio Rulli (they'll be handing out to the first 100 people). Good enough reason to sneak out of work on your lunch break.
