Australia's entry to the best foreign film category at the Academy Awards, The Rocket, didn't win the category. The Laos-set film, which captured accolades all over its home country and nearly swept Tribeca, wasn't even nominated, passed over for six selections all notable for their decidedly "adult" subject material, which is too bad, because it's a damn good film.

It's hard to believe a year has already gone by since the glorious Bay Lights first alighted on our skyline, lending an artistic shimmer to the city's Bay Bridge approach. We celebrate this month with some extraordinary experiences including Dine & Shine—special cocktails, menus, and more offered throughout March at restaurants, bars, and hotels along the Embarcadero to raise money to keep the Bay Lights on.
