The Moneymaker

Here's the latest video from LA-based group Rilo Kiley for their song, "The Moneymaker." I'm loving the tougher and darker Fleetwood Mac-meets-Heart rock sound of this single and the super sexy video that dives into the hidden world of the porn industry. Their new album Under the Blacklight drops on August 21, and if "The Moneymaker"  is any indication of things to come, I'm pretty sure this will be the album of 2007.

Dearest film nerds, here are some flicks to check out while I sun myself and drink garish, fluorescent cocktails. Until next time, be bad and get into trouble whilst sipping umbrella drinks, baby.

Chris Cornell, former frontman for '90s grunge-rockers Soundgarden and current lead singer for Audioslave, rocked the Warfield Tuesday, July 10. The always lovely and unpredictable actress/ aspiring rock star Juliette Lewis and her band the Licks opened the bill.

Justice on the Dance Floor

I'm completely addicted to Justice's debut album (also called Cross). This uber-cool French electro-house duo are best known for remixing tracks by Simian, Daft Punk and N*E*R*D, but it's on their solo-effort where their sonic innovation truly shines. Here's the stylish video for their single "D.A.N.C.E.," but watch out; this video causes involuntary hip undulations.
