Greetings and salutations* Bay Area film snots … While Poppa H and the Daft Heiress continue our leisurely Sausalito Bay sojourn on Errol Flynn’s legendary 118-foot skiff, the Zaca, I’d like to turn the attention of the geek collective to a cinematic woolgathering I had while bobbing the day away.
Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Nicolas Godin, better known as the French pop duo Air, seduced the crowd last week at the Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium with their brand of sexy pop-infused lounge music. The duo played songs "Napalm Love" and the Kraftwerk-inspired "Mer Du Japon" from their highly anticipated new album Pocket Symphony as well as older favorites like "Cherry Blossom Girl" and "Sexy Boy." Norwegian singer-songwriter Kate Havernik opened the show.
