Which is why I’m so excited about the 4th Annual Songwriters Festival at Saratoga’s Montalvo Arts Center on Sunday, August 26th. Featuring an eclectic selection of ten artists on the bill including folk favorite James McMurtry, Americana darling Robin Holcomb, the hipster-palatable gothic cowgirl Jesse Sykes and Berkeley’s “most likely to make the ladies swoon with his Billy Joel-by-way-of-Elliott Smith sound, French name and Jordan Catalano looks” Etienne de Rocher, the lineup offers something for every word/music nerd.
