On December 9, 2009 Guide Dogs for the Blind hosted the 33rd Annual Holiday Luncheon at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.  829 people attended the event and monies raised totaled $180,967.  Event proceeds will help socialize and train the puppies which eventually become Guide Dogs for the more than 340 blind and visually impaired students who graduate from Guide Dogs for the Blind each year.

The Epi Center MedSpa hosted an evening of holiday cheer and celebration in support of TNDC.  The facility hosted a toy drive to collect gifts and to raise awareness about TNDC's Tenderloin After School Program; which provides a healthy and stable environment for neighborhood children who need a safe place to spend the hours before dinner with programs that include a balanced schedule of homework, tutoring, fun activities and workshops. Over 200 gifts were donated for this very special cause.

Global Green USA hosted its fifth Annual San Francisco Benefit Party – the Gorgeous and Green Gala – with a sold-out crowd of over 500 guests on December 8th, 2009 at the LEED-certified W San Francisco. The evening celebrated the organization's partnership with Habitat for Humanity and PG&E to help build the first LEED Gold-certified Habitat homes in California, The Edes Avenue development in Oakland, in addition to their other efforts across the Bay Area and the country to advance smart climate solutions.

San Francisco’s leading bachelors Adam Chetkowski, KP Englert, Ryan Jones, Erik Noland and Adam Steinhorn hosted the launch of Gilt Man at MR. Barbershop and Urban Lounge. Grooming sessions by day with cocktails, bites, styling advice and the 49ers game by night made for the perfect evening.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2009, the Cliff House marked its 100th anniversary in the 1909 building with a Centennial Gala that celebrated its fabled past. Dr. Cynthia Soyster, a direct descendant of Adolph Sutro, and Greg Moore, Executive Director of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy were Honorary Chairs for the evening, where guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, beverages, dancing, live music, and history exhibits.

On Saturday evening, October 24, 2009, Pamela Joyner and Fred Giuffrida opened the doors to their Presidio Heights home once again to raise funds for a worthy cause.  With generous matching benefactor The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Joyner and Giuffrida’s  3rd annual Masked Ball raised more than a half million dollars to benefit Survivor Corps. Complete with jeweled masks and an atmosphere highlighted with this year’s theme of white and gold, Joyner and Giuffrida hosted the event in a unique simulcast setting with three additional cities: Los Angeles, New York and London.  

Vanessa Getty hosted a dinner in honor of Tod’s Creative Director and San Francisco native, Derek Lam.  Earlier in the day the two hosted a tea at Saks Fifth Avenue SF where guests shopped the Tod’s F/W 2010 accessories collection as well as a special trunk of the coveted Tod’s ready-to-wear collection flown in for the occasion from Milan.

On October 20th, 2009 Epi Center MedSpa celebrated its LEED Certification with a party at their Sutter street location.

On Wednesday, October 14, Restoration Hardware hosted a private launch event to celebrate the opening of The Gallery - the grand re-opening of the Corte Madera store featuring an innovative new setting and renewed brand concept. A private group of the Bay Area's most design-savvy individuals along with other community influencers gathered at the Corte Madera location to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while viewing The Gallery and its newest collections.
