<i>Gateway to India</i>: California Shakespeare Theater's Gala

Held in Oakland's Historic Rotunda Building on March 8, the California Shakespeare Theater hosted its 13th annual fundraising soiree, Gateway to India. The black-tie or festive Indian attire event began with a silent auction and cocktail reception, and included a variety of getaway and luxury packages and a tour of San Francisco City Hall conducted by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Deikels Host Luncheon for USCF Medical Center

On March 3, Ted and Pamala Deikel co-hosted a luncheon with Robert Atkinson that honored the UCSF Medical Center. Twenty-two attendees enjoyed the posh event, which included a fashion show.

Luncheon to Fete Lily & Serena's New Book, <i>Nursery Style</i>

In celebration of Serena Dugan and Lily Kanter's new book, Nursery Style (Chronicle Books), San Francisco socials Vandy Boudreau, Kathryn Freeman and Vanessa Getty hosted a luncheon at Boudreau's Presidio Heights residence that benefited Holy Family Day Home.


Skurmans Host Reception for Author Tom Dolby

On March 3, Francoise and Andrew Skurman hosted a reception for author Tom Dolby, whose recent novel The Sixth Form was released by Kensington earlier this year, at their private residence. Dolby, who was a 2005 Library Laureate for the San Francisco Public Library, was raised in San Francisco.


SF Opera Winter Ball

On Friday, Feb. 29, 400 guests joined the San Francisco Opera Guild to salute Franklin "Pitch" Johnson, outgoing chairman of the Opera Association, with a black tie dinner, cocktail reception and silent wine auction. Proceeds from the event will support the San Francisco Opera and the Opera Guild's award-winning education and community outreach programs. 

Dylan Boutique’s Spring Fashion Show and Benefit

On Friday, February 22 Marina boutique Dylan held their third annual fashion show benefiting the Princess Project, a nonprofit organization that provides prom attire to underprivileged young women.  The event, which was co-hosted by Vintage 415 Creative Culture Marketing, was held at the W Hotel and featured looks from the Spring 2008 collections and a live performance by DJ Grandtheft from Team Canada.

Junior League of San Francisco’s Patron Event

On Wednesday, February 27, Jackson Square boutique Carrots hosted the Junior League of San Francisco’s patron event for the 82nd annual fashion show “American Beauty.” The exclusive party featured hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Componere Fine Catering and a custom cigar rolling station.

Junior League Fashion Show Launch Party

On Thursday, February 21 at the Zephyr Ventilation Showroom the Junior League of San Francisco celebrated the launch of their 82nd annual fashion show, "American Beauty" to take place on Saturday, April 5 at the Fairmont Hotel. Highlights included a silent auction, music by DJ Hooman, and fabulous cocktails and food.

The Ambassador's One Year Anniversary Party

Vintage 415 celebrated the one year anniversary of their Rat Pack-inspired lounge the Ambassador with a party featuring eats, free-flowing cocktails and dancing, thanks to local DJs Vin Sol and D Tek.


The Politically Incorrect Valentine's Ball

On Saturday February 9, Jillian Manus and Alan Salzman hosted the Politically Incorrect Valentine's Ball at their home in Atherton, CA. The humorous, politically incorrect-themed soiree helped to benefit the Stanford Cancer Center.
