Our Pick of the Litter: Fave Etsy Local Finds

An online treasure trove for all things handmade and vintage, Etsy is one of our top go-to sources when we want to break away from our fast fashion fixes and and opt for something unique but still inexpensive. After scouring SF's Etsy Local shops for this week's round-up, we wanted to share what's impatiently waiting in our shopping cart:

1. Convertible Tangerine Cowl by Boopie Creations, $60: Whether you prefer rocking it as a scarf, hood, cape or shrug, this adaptable accessory will add a jolt of color to your drab winter wardrobe.

SFMOMA Teams Up with The Gap: Wear A Work of Art For Under $25

SFMOMA really knows how to throw a party. To coincide with their 75th anniversary celebration, they enlisted the help of nine artists with Bay Area ties and local clothing giant Gap to create a line of unique limited-edition T-shirts. The result is a brilliant collection of eight unisex shirts from the likes of well-known artists Chris Johanson, Barry McGee, Larry Sultan and Mike Mandel that are sure to be highly covetable for art students and collectors alike.

Look of the Week: SFMOMA 75th Anniversary

As much as we love getting dressed to the nines to peruse the seemingly endless art galleries on First Thursday, the fabulous SFMOMA openings have remained elusive...until now. In honor of their 75th anniversary, SFMOMA is opening the floodgates to members and non-members (sadly, we fall into this category) alike to ogle what's sure to be one of the best collections we've ever seen, gratis. To top it all off, they're throwing a late-night bash Saturday night with live performances by Zoe Keating and Loop!Station, electronic collage artists and more importantly, a cash bar.

Timid about tantric? Resistant to role play? Don't fret, Sex With Emily culled a selection of her favorite tips from her podcast for the app that are doable for everyone, those intimidated by karma sutra illustrations included (you want me to put my what where?!). So whether you just need to slow down and breathe or introduce a Rabbit into your sex life, 101 Sex Tips is here to guide the way.

Look of the Week: Let's Get Physical

Back in the aughties, the gym was a place where you'd find us sweating (and we mean sweating) to deafening techno in spin class, the one place where all fashion sins were cast aside and the ratty tee prevailed. Well, we say no more! And what better time to update our workout wardrobe (adieu high school sports bra!) and stick to our New Year's health resolutions than the beginning of a new decade. In the '00s, we scowled at those whose who miraculously walked out of a class well put-together and dare-we-say...glowing.

This year, we plan on getting out of our comfort zone and into the latest "extreme" classes with the help of our new threads, butt-sculpting kicks and retro gym bag (which also clips onto your bike handles!). So without further ado, this week's look:

Jump Start Your Weight Loss Resolution With Cook! SF

If you're anything like us, Monday marked the beginning of your annual health resolutions (since you can't start a new exercise and diet regimen on a weekend!) and despite your best intentions, chances are you'll be struggling to stick to it by mid-month. Luckily, Cook! SF is here to help.

Look of the Week: NYE For Under $150

Though Christmas left our wallets a bit plumper than before, we decided not to blow it all on a party ensemble we'll only wear once, however fabulous it may be. Since this year we plan on kicking off the New Year on a frugal foot (while still wearing killer stilettos mind you), we scoured the shops to bring you a glam NYE outfit for under $150:

1. Forever 21 Grand Metallic Sequin Dress, $22.80

Legs: Fall's It Accessory

Tights or leggings? Opaque or patterned? Black and white or technicolor?

When it comes to legwear, the options are seemingly endless. But whether you choose to use them as a way to ground a wild ensemble or make a serious statement, one thing's for certain, this fall is all about legs:

Look of the Week: Home for the Holidays

As we're all rushing to pack for cross-country trips home, we're growing increasingly nervous about how our "winter" wardrobe will translate to climates that are actually cold. And since the thought of temperatures below freezing immediately sends a shiver down our spines, we thought it appropriate to compile a warm and cozy ensemble that will take you from the airplane to curled by the fireplace with a hot toddy in hand. With that, this week's look:

Tots Get Toys, You Could Get A Year's Worth of Spa Treatments

Of course we'd all love to be able to give back to those less fortunate more often than we do. Thanks to our partnership with Spa For a Cause's Holiday Giveaway, you have a chance to make a charitable donation to Toys for Tots just by signing up. Even better still, by entering the raffle you have a chance to win a year's worth of spa treatments (a $1,200 value) from some of our favorite SF spas including The Nob Hill Spa, Bliss SF, Burke Williams, Remede Spa and 77 Maiden Lane.

Talk about a win-win.
