The first Thursday of the month is devoted to transforming the Tenderloin into the “Trendyloin,” and you can experience it all on the Upper TL Art Walk. With 16 different galleries and retail stores to discover along the way, enjoy a tour of the neighborhood’s lively art scene. Pop into the Popular Workshop, EverGold, SpokeArt, and more, and chat with the local independent artists. Design Night series at Autodesk Gallery

Head downtown this Thursday to Autodesk Gallery for the latest event in the weekly Design Night series, “The Shape Of Things To Come.” Renowned sculptor Bruce Beasley will be speaking about the new possibilities of sculpture and technology. If you’re curious about 3D printing, robotics, and biomimicry, take part in this enlightening evening with fellow design enthusiasts and innovators. Thursday, December 5, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; General tickets: $25, Student tickets: $20. 1 Market Street, San Francisco.
