Who's the City's Best Gym Class Instructor?

Whose class do you line up for?

San Francisco is a city for the workout obsessed. We take our runs seriously, our Lululemon seriously and our gym classes VERY seriously. So what we want to know is this: who is the city's best gym class instructor? We're talking across gyms and across classes (pilates, spin, yoga, bootcamp, cardio striptease - they're all fair game). Whose class do you make sure you get on the waiting list for? Let us know in the comments (plus the gym and the time of day they teach at). We'll do a feature on the most popular teacher.

Every instructor who promotes a healthy living and/or positive lifestyle change is a good individual. Yet, those who strive to make their teachings affordable & accessible for every individual regardless of finances are fantastic people(smile) ... Check out the donation yoga classes at: James Howell Studio http://jameshowellstudio.com/ 66 Sanchez Street (near Duboce Park) Wishing the best of all possible worlds, Yoga Teacher, tony eason http://ynottony.com
San Francisco is full of great gym instructors , but I like the best Jill Harris. He uses a great variety of exercises that makes your body look good. But there are a lot of guys that uses best legal steroids in stead of working out.
You really know your stuff... Keep up the good work! find a personal trainer http://www.whoismytrainer.com/
I agree, her kick boxing class is very intense. I would recommend it to everyone!
Jill Harris at Informed Body. Jill is a fabulous instructor and uses her extensive knowledge and expertise to work with you individually. Jill has designed workouts for me to use at home with therabands, foam rollers, and the big exercise ball and I've never been in better shape! The atmosphere at Informed Body is lovely, warm, and welcoming. I highly recommend Jill and Informed Body.
Jill Harris at Informed Body is my absolute favorite pilates instructor. Her knowledge of the exercise system is thorough, her approach creative and individualized, and her demeanor is supportive and honest. On top of her expertise, she is a joy to work with. She keeps the atmosphere fun and inspirational - there is never a dull moment. Jill connects with each one of her clients - as well as the other trainers at her studio - showing a deep appreciation for others, strong work ethic, and love for what she does.
As for pilates instruction: Jill Harris, hands down, and up and all around, is the best in my opinion. She tailors each workout for the individual involved, and still keeps the conversation upbeat if not downright hilarious. Her studio offers workouts for all types of needs, individual, group, trios, duos, and her instructors are all on her wave length. She's changed my body in a good way over the years I've worked with her, and of all the things I might give up, it would never be a pilates session with Jill! She's a jewel and to be one of her clients is a positive addition to my life.
Libby is the best! She's the inspiration for all of us in her class to appreciate our body, mind, and soul. Being healthy and happy is very important.
Libby Kiser - TKB instructor @ 24 hour fitness. She is the best instructor because she is full of energy, knows how to motivate her students, remembers her students' name, and also she knows her stuff. She is not just all about fun and choreography, but also she makes sure that we are doing it right. The movement, form, and posture makes a huge difference in a workout. Not just for safety reason, but also in terms of the results. Libby makes sure that her students are doing it right.
I was really disappointed with kickboxing classes in the city until I found Christine Lozada. Her class is just what I need, a higher level of tkb (but easy enough to keep up for all levels), very high energy, motivating plus a friendly environment! and have to mention this one... when she sings with the music she can keep a tune (nothing makes me wana run away from a class more than an instructor that would sing offtune!) Not only do I have awesome endorphines, high spirits and a completely soaked shirt after the class...on my drive to the gym I shake with adrenaline! hahaha gotta love christine!
