Celebrate Jordan Vineyard & Winery's 40th Birthday with a Star-Studded Charity Event

If you haven’t heard the buzz, Healdsburg’s Jordan Vineyard & Winery has been celebrating its 40th anniversary in star-studded style at rooftop lounges across the country. The family-owned winery’s 40th birthday celebration culminates on Saturday, June 2, with a festive afternoon event on the iconic chateau’s sprawling lawns.

Dubbed Giving Back at Jordan, the walk-around tasting experience benefits three Bay Area charities, two of which were readers’ choice favorites in last year’s 7x7 poll: Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, Meals on Wheels of San Francisco and Spark Program. These charities were chosen because their missions’ focus on causes near and dear to vintner John Jordan’s heart: animal welfare, food programs for citizens in need and educational services for at-risk children. The magnificent grounds of Jordan—it’s like traveling to France without leaving California, if you haven’t been—offer a stunning backdrop to an event featuring wine tasting stations, hors d’oeuvres by Jordan Executive Chef Todd Knoll, festive decor and live entertainment. The event will be limited to 225 guests on a first-come, first-donation basis. A 100% tax-deductible donation of $75 to one of three select Bay Area charities will secure one place on the guest list for this event.

Utilizing San Francisco-based Causes’s innovative online platform, Bay Area residents interested in supporting these causes can select which charity benefits from their donation—and receive one ticket to the event for every $75 donated. As of May 5, Muttville and Meals on Wheels have met their fundraising goals, but you may still make a donation to Spark Program and receive tickets to the Giving Back at Jordan event.

Thanks to the generous readers of 7x7, this celebration sold out on May 17. Take a tour of Jordan on YouTube. For more information about Jordan Vineyard & Winery’s 40th anniversary, please visit www.jordanwinery.com/40.
