Sandra Bourgeon makes every dining experience at Chez Papa (1401 18th St., 415-824-8210) feel a little more authentic—after all, she was born in Paris. When she’s not waiting tables at the tiny bistro, she works as a DJ, spinning at places like Pink (2925 16th St., 415-431-8889). Or, you may find her enjoying cassoulet at her other favorite restaurant, Le Petit Robert (2300 Polk St., 415-922-8100), or just generally making her life in SF a little more French.
“I love to hang out at Garçon—there’s great people-watching if you sit at the bar.”

“Oola’s foie gras is to die for; it rivals what I’ve found in high-end restaurants in France.”
860 Folsom St., 415-995-2061
“I’m a cookie monster. I always buy Le Petit Écolier chocolate-topped butter biscuit cookies at Safeway.”
2300 16th St., 415-575-1120
“The best warm croissants in the city are from Tartine Bakery. I usually have a plain croissant with a latte.”
600 Guerrero St., 415-487-2600
“I’ll make sandwiches with A. G. Ferrari bread and take them to Golden Gate Park for a little picnic.”
