Bringing you the latest in retail therapy around the Bay Area.

Just when you thought there was no room for another new shop on Hayes Street, the owners of Convert announced yesterday they're opening a third eco-fashion boutique at 556 Hayes on August 15. This one is for the guys only! Convert Man will be the brand’s first outpost in San Francisco—the other two are on Berkeley’s 4th Street.

As you know, Rare Device opened a second location in Noe Valley. This week, they’re celebrating with a party at the new shop. Stop by 4071 24th Street anytime on Saturday, August 2 between 11am and 5pm for beverages from Noe Valley Wine Merchants, and coffee and treats from Noe Valley Bakery. Elizabeth Street Cosmetics is hosting a trunk show, and Juniper Ridge will distill fragrances on site. There will also be a raffle, and gift bags designed by Rare Device's own Kehau Lyons for the first 25 people who spend $50 or more.

Tonight, Wednesday, July 30, interiors boutique Serena & Lily is celebrating summer with a trunk show featuring the brand’s seasonal accessories. Join local style bloggers at 3457 Sacramento Street between 5 and 7pm for wine, snacks, and free shipping on anything you purchase during the event. Items typically available for purchase online only, including beach blankets, cover-ups, scarves, travel cases, tote bags, home textiles and more will be available for your perusal at the event. RSVP at event@serenaandlily.com.

In sad retail news, Chloe Rose at 1824 Union Street in Cow Hollow is closing. The good news is everything in the store is 40 percent off, and the owners promise a new and improved website with 100 percent free shipping and returns. Note that the sale is in-store only.

City Optix, an SF go-to for fashionable prescription eyewear and sunglasses, is also closing its 1685 Haight Street location and consolidating all operations to the 2154 Chestnut street shop.

If you’ve been curious about the box sitting in the middle of the park at Jessie Square, your curiosity will be satisfied on Thursday, July 31 at 1pm when “a new way to connect with each other” will be unveiled. If you can’t make it in person, watch the livestream here, where you can also enter to win Google Glass, an iPad Air, a Chromebook and more.

Margaret Elizabeth Jewelry has a new lookbook, and it’s summertime perfection—especially if you’re headed to a warm-weather resort anytime soon. Leaf through the looks digitally at the San Francisco designer's website, or check out the goods in person at 1735B Union Street.

Ligne Roset’s floor sample sale ends on Sunday, August 3, so go get some mid-century goodness for your place at up to 65 percent off. The store is at 162 King Street in SF—so make sure to check the baseball schedule before you go!
