Bay Area traffic is the worst, right? Well, not exactly. But it's close. San Francisco commuters spent 75 hours sitting in traffic last year, according to a report released by traffic monitoring group INRIX. That's tied with Washington D.C. as the second worst total in the nation, although INRIX actually scores our nation's capital as slightly worse overall. Los Angeles remains the undisputed king of gridlock with an average of 81 hours. Read more

Dual Camera for iPhone 7 Plus Allegedly Revealed,cnet.com

Apple's expected iPhone 7 Plus will sport two cameras, assuming the latest series of leaked photos are legit. A batch of photos leaked on several Taiwanese websites and displayed collectively by blog site Pocketnow show six different modules allegedly to be used as a dual-camera system in this year's larger-screened iPhone. Cited by Pocketnow as being from a "very protective leaker in Taiwan" and another source, the photos reveal what the component for a dual-camera setup looks like. Read more

SFMTA to Widen Sidewalks on Lombard Street,kron4.com

A famous San Francisco street will have a new look in the near future, according to the Municipal Transportation Agency. On Tuesday, at a board of directors meeting, the Lombard Street Safety Project was approved by a unanimous vote. But it is not on the well-known “crooked” section of Lombard Street. Instead, crews will be making changes to the streets’ straight section. Read more

A homeless man from San Francisco who pointed police toward two Orange County inmates who had escaped from jail will get the lion’s share of a $150,000 reward set up for their successful capture, the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday. The Orange County Board of Supervisors awarded Matthew Hay-Chapman $100,000, said Jean Pasco, a county spokeswoman. Read more

First Broadway Musical with Lesbian Hero Coming to San Francisco,kqed.org

Fun Home, the first Broadway musical with a lesbian protagonist, is coming to San Francisco. The musical is based on an award winning graphic novel — really a memoir — by Alison Bechdel. The Tony wining musical adaptation of the novel, with music by Jeanine Tesori and lyrics and book by Lisa Kron, will be the first production for the reopened Curran Theatre in January of 2017. Read more
