Here's what the 7x7 scribe tribe couldn't stop thinking about this week.

The London Hotel, West Hollywood

Traveling for client meetings is exhilarating, but selling yourself for 8 or 9 hours straight is also pretty exhausting. On a recent work trip to LA, I was grateful to tuck into a Royal Vista suite at the London Hotel, fresh from a $23 million renovation. Done up in old Hollywood style with British inflections, the hotel has a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and a gorgeous rooftop pool. My room's private patio was perfect for sipping an EOD glass of bubbly, but the bathroom was my happy place: hello deep soaking tub and high-pressure rainforest shower! Needless to say I remained very clean and slept like a baby.

AYR Hi-Rise Skinny

What would Stephanie Zinone wear? (Yes, that’s a character reference to the bad ass, leather-loving goddess Michelle Pfeiffer played in Grease 2). These legs-for-days skinnies by NY-based AYR (prounced "air"), who's just opened a pop-up shop at sister company Bonobos' 55 Grant store. The fit is utterly flattering, and the fabric has plenty of stretch to pull you in tight with room enough to straddle a motorcycle—should that be in the cards. Jackpot.

Katy Perry dressed as a Flamin' Hot Cheeto

I was going to tell you how much I want Tigerlily's Indie Fragrance Criterion sample set (i.e., a cute tin featuring generous samples from San Francisco perfume artists), but then I saw this pic of Katy Perry dressed as my favorite artificial dairy-flavored sodium-laced snack. Bizarre. Hilarious. Awe-inspiring. I'm obsessed.

As a perpetually dehydrated water hater, I’m constantly on the lookout for new ways to quench my thirst that don’t involve sending an intern to Starbucks to fetch my trenta green iced tea (three pumps classic, light ice). When the Bai 5 drinks landed in the office, the angels harked and my search was over. These low-cal drinks are barely sweet, infused with real fruit and lots of vitamins, and at five calories per serving, totally guilt-free. Think of it this way: If Crystal Light is coach, then Bai 5 is first-class all the way.
