Headed to everyone's favorite LGBT nightclub, Oasis, on July 15, MANFrancisco: The Evolution of the San Fransexy Man is a 175-year journey from Gold Rush to tech boom, as told through male sensual dance. If only all history lessons were never this arousing.
Billed as the "ultimate girls' and gays' night out," patrons will meet the confident men who struck out to find gold in those hills, the bold firemen who saved a quivering city after the 1906 earthquake, and the courageous seaman who sailed for war in the Pacific.
Inspired by the style and polish of Las Vegas, MANFrancisco is choreographed and costumed by Christopher James Dunn, veteran Las Vegas show dancer and a current member of Dance Theater of San Francisco. The upscale strip tease is comprised of five of the sexiest Bay Area male club dancers: Colin Emerald, Donovan Lewis, Thomas Julio Rodriguez, Jon Shield, and Chad Stewart.
"This is a truly one-of-a-kind, only-in-San-Francisco show," Dunn said in a statement. "I'm excited to bring a touch of that Las Vegas razzle-dazzle to the Bay Area."
MANFrancisco will run Wednesdays at 9:30pm; tickets ($20-200) are on sale now at sfoasis.com or in person at the Oasis box office (298 11th Street, SF).
