It turns out unicorns do exist. Well, kinda.
As reported by NBC Bay Area, drivers in Madera, California were given quite the scare on Wednesday night when what appeared to be a mythical creature appeared on the freeway.
(Spoiler: unicorns don't actually exist.)
A white pony dressed up as a unicorn for a kiddie birthday party had gotten away from party-goers and was reportedly seen on several different highways around the area.
"The calls were coming in that a unicorn was running around," CHP Officer Josh McConnell told NBC.The horse named Juliette was finally found via helicopter in a nearby orchard.
"I was afraid," said Tatum Boos, Juliette's five-year-old owner. "She got in a timeout because she was being a bad pony."
