Vango Delivers Art, Made By Local Artists, Right to Your Door

Tired of the cookie-cutter art found at Walmart, Ikea, and other such big-box monstrosities? Vango founder Ethan Appleby is trying to change the way we decorate our lives by helping you purchase original pieces with neither fuss nor muss.

Basically, Vango allows you to buy art—peices made from local and national artists—online and then have them delivered to your door. The price system is transparent and tiered: $100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000, $1,500.

The site itself is a delight to pore over. Today, for example, on Veteran's Day, they feature an impressive piece by U.S. Marine Corps Veteran turned artist, Julius BautistaAnd the categories, something so often shunned in the world of art, are just as intriguing: "office," "dorm," "modern living," and "man cave," just to name a few.

Vango has noted artists curate pages for added convenience and a unique perspective. (You know, in case you're one of those cretins who know nothing about art.)

An excellent, important way to support your local artists.
