Where to Watch the Blue Angels in San Francisco

By

Fleet Week is here again, with the Blue Angels air show buzzing San Francisco Friday, October 11th through Sunday the 13th.

Here are the best spots to catch the action.

Fort Mason

Enjoy everything you already love about Fort Mason—bocce ball, corn hole, music, dancing, and drinks—with a great show to entertain you throughout the afternoon. Learn more.

Angel Island

One of the best places to view Fleet Week has to be from the middle of the bay. If you're lucky enough to have access to a boat, then your plans are made. For the rest of us, Angel Island is the next best option and not a bad one at all. Hike up to the summit of the island and enjoy panoramic views of the Bay Area. It's pretty awesome to see the show from this pulled back perspective. Learn more.

Aquatic Park

With bleacher seating right by the water, this is prime viewing for Fleet Week. It's no secret, though, so plan to get there super early to snag some space for you and your crew. You could even set up early, bring your wetsuit, and get in a good swim before the fun begins. Learn more.

West Bluff

Lay out on the grass or dive into a picnic while enjoying close up views of the Golden Gate Bridge on your left and the air show to your right. You won't be super close, so it might be hard to see the smaller planes, but you'll have a great view of the Blue Angels. Learn more.

Coit Tower Steps

Don't want to fight crowds or skip your workout to catch the Blue Angels? Head up to the top of the Coit Tower stairs—whether you run or walk, it counts as being active for the day. This is a great way to catch a quick view of the fun without fully investing. Learn more.
