Beer and Cheese Tasting at Shinola

Three craft worlds collide this weekend at the brand new Shinola store in downtown San Francisco. The Detroit-based maker of hand-crafted watches, journals, bicycles, and leather goods is hosting a complimentary craft beer and cheese pairing session Saturday afternoon, featuring Mission Cheese and Fort Point Beer. Drop in between 2 and 4pm for the tasting, and try not to drool on the bourbon leather bags. //  722 Montgomery (Jackson Square); shinola.com

Zinfandel Experience 2016 Grand Tasting

Saturday's other tasting opportunity involves Zinfandel, and a lot of it. The 25th annual Zinfandel Experience (ZinEx) Grand Tasting starts at 11am and continues until 5pm at the new Pier 27 Cruise Terminal, which features sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay. In addition to sampling new vintages and special Reserve Zinfandels from more than 150 winemakers, guests can meet the makers in intimate "speed dating for wine lovers" sessions throughout the day, and enjoy culinary creations made by Bay Area chefs to pair with Zinfandels. Tickets are available online for $80 - $170 per person. // Pier 27 (The Embarcadero); zinfandelexperience.co
