Three Reasons to Cross the Bay Bridge
The East Bay is ready to give you a good time this weekend. If you're up for the challenge, it's time to do yourself a favor and cross the Bay Bridge to indulge in some sweet escapes.
Jack of All Trades Grand Opening
One of Oakland's favorite downtown hangouts has done it again. That's right: Jack London Square presents the first day of a new monthly event to be held every second Saturday, honoring art, culture, and local commerce. Enjoy the works of 100 local artists, vintage and antique collectors, designers, and craftspeople from a variety of other backgrounds. In addition, there'll be live music, food vendors, craft beer, and some educational 'Do-It-Yourself' workshops for beginners of certain trades. Go here for more info. 481 Water St, Oakland.
You also don’t want to miss this year’s Urban Art & Culture Festival. As a celebration of youth in the arts, the event will feature several activities, including a spray painting battle, pop-up print show, stencil workshop, and blackbook battle.
