1. Celebrating the Sourpuss
Yuzus, kishus, and mandarinquats—oh my!  With winter well underway, so is citrus season. Make reservations for Manresa’s Citrus Modernista Dinner on Tuesday, February 26 for a multi-course meal ($140 pp) featuring the bounty of the restaurant’s garden in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

2. Choc it Up
Chocolate Covered, Jack Epstein’s shop in Noe Valley, is now the focus of Sarah Feinbloom’s “chocumetary,” In Search of the Heart of Chocolate.  Get your fix of Charles Chocolate and more at the screenings tonight ($10, email info@chocumentary.com to reserve) at the Delancey Street Screening Room  6:30 and 7:30 pm.

3. Namaste and Cheers
An indulgent evening of wine, cheese, chocolate and … yoga?  Yes, yoga.  On Wednesday the 13th, Cocoon Urban Day Spa teams up with Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant for an unusual, but pampering workshop, combining various practices and consumables to stimulate the body and parallel the charkas of the heart.

4. Greener Grassroots
The farm bill may be threatening California’s food supply. To learn more go to calfoodandfarming.org. To fight back, go to the SF Civic Center Farmers Market this Wednesday and join top chefs, foodie leaders and the California Food and Justice Coalition in speaking out to Nancy Pelosi.

5. Easy Bake
Take your kids to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito on Monday February 18th (9 am to 4 pm) and ring in the Chinese New Year by learning how to make traditional celebratory pastries. They’ll bake them for you while you watch lion dancers, make paper lanterns or learn about the Chinese zodiac.

6. Head of the Class
If “Chocolate 101” sounds like your kind of course, grab a glass of Champagne and pull up a chair for Michael Recchiuti’s chocolate-and-wine pairing class on February 14th, 6 to 8 pm at California Table Studio.
