An all-American meal at Mission Street Food
I'm guessing that if you're reading this then you didn't spend the Inauguration in Washington. In that case, let me bring to your attention the slightly belated inauguration dinner hosted by the Mission Street Food crew at Lung Shan restaurant in the Mission tomorrow (Thursday) night.
The meal for the new president? Such all-American classics as macaroni and cheese, spicy buttermilk fried chicken and slaw on a warm roll, a BLT sandwich, homemade hot dogs and chili, apple pie and Humphry Slocombe's celebratory ice cream, Baracky Road. Budweiser will be $2 a can and, in honor of Obama's economic stimulus plan, nothing on the menu is more than $9. Read about it all here. And best of all? All proceeds (yes, all!) will be donated this week to Project Open Hand. God bless America.
