Brave Enough to Eat a Pig Head?

By

Last Monday, we threw our annual Eat + Drink Awards party, where we revealed our picks for the 5 Best Restaurants in the City and also announced the winners of the Eat + Drink Reader's Choice Awards. In addition to a healthy buzz from the Bulleit Bourbon cocktails, all the honorees walked away with a bronze pig (we like to think of them as the SF restaurant scene's version of the Oscars). Check out the video from the party below (we're just as fancy).

To continue the celebration of the pig, some of our favorite restaurants are rolling out pork-centric menus starting next Monday. Kokkari, La Folie, Delfina, Laïola, Slanted Door, Ozumo and Nopa are all participating. The most outrageous menu item we've heard yet? Half a pig head for four people - courtesy of chef Erik Cosselmon at Kokkari. To get a piece of the pig action, call up the restaurants for reservations - the pig dinners will continue through the month of February.
