Buy a Pie From 'Top Chef: Just Desserts' Yigit Pura to Benefit Charity
We've already published our exhaustive guide to Thanksgiving pie, but these slices deserve a separate mention. Yigit Pura, the winner of Bravo's Top Chef: Just Desserts (and Executive Pastry Chef at Taste Catering) is making an arsenal of pies for charity. You can buy them for $35 on Gilt City, and 100% of proceeds benefit SkillsUSA, an organization that partners students, teachers and professionals to ensure that America has a skilled work force. Pie pick-up is at HELLO Candystore Collective (another one of our faves) on Bush Street.
So if you're feeling sheepish about store-bought varietals, this option should assuage your guilt. Get buying though, you'll have to order your pie before this Wednesday, November 24, to get it in time for Turkey Day. Order here.
