There’s still time to make your reservations for one of the eight sessions of the Ahwanee’s Chefs’ Holiday series that kicks off this Sunday. Each session will feature different chefs and will include a “Meet the Chefs" reception, three educational cooking demonstrations, a behind-the-scenes kitchen tour and a five-course Gala Dinner. Session 2 starts on January 9 and will feature Mark Sullivan (Spruce, San Francisco), Annie Sommerville (Greens, San Francisco), and Ben “Wyatt” Dufresne (Plumpjack, Squaw Valley). Monday, January 7

Jardinière's popular Monday night prix fixe dinner series is back! For only $49, enjoy 3 of their “California-style French” courses with three wine pairings. Come for Middle Earth Monday on the 7th or any one of their various themed Monday dinners in the coming weeks, including Beer Week in February. Thursday, January 10

Don’t miss out on Chef Charlie Palmer’s eighth annual Pigs & Pinot event! The event won’t take place until March 22, but tickets go on sale this Thursday, January 10 and expect them to sell out fast. Held at Hotel Healdsberg, you’ll have the opportunity to sample 60 Pinot Noir wines from Sonoma County and around the world while being served a variety of pork dishes, including homemade sausages, charcuterie, grilled pork, pates and other special creations by 20 different chefs. This year’s culinary greats will include: Elizabeth Falkner (Chef/Owner Krescendo, Brooklyn), Dean Fearing (Chef/Partner Fearing’s Restaurant, Dallas), Jose Garces (Chef/Owner Garces Restaurant Group, Food Network Iron Chef), and Craig Stoll (Chef/Owner Delfina Restaurant Group, San Francisco).
