Foodie Agenda: Another Goat Festival + Halal Guys Delivered

By

Your guide to the tastiest foodie happenings going down this week. Bon Appetit!

NYC's Halal Guys Comes to SF

Starting Tuesday, April 12th, Caviar is partnering with New York-based cult-classic The Halal Guys to offer delivery of their world famous food to SF customers for the first time ever. That means people across the city can order their popular platters, gyros, falafel, and baklava for delivery between 11am-2pm every weekday—all before their newest SF location even opens its doors in Union Square.  //  Order here.

Marla Bakery Starts Dinner

Need another dinner option? Starting Friday, Marla Bakery will be serving dinner. The menu will change according to the season and what’s available at the farmers market, but expect delicious concoctions such as lamb neck confit and the Brown Wolf burger, which includes onion jam and smoked cheese and is served with fermented steak fries. Yum. //  Dinner Wednesday-Saturday, 5:30-9pm, 3619 Balboa St. (Outer Richmond) marlabakery.com

Another Goat Festival

Join CUESA for the Eight Annual Goat Festival where you can explore (and cuddle) all things goat. Meet local ranchers, food crafters, sample artisan cheese, and even visit an adorable petting zoo. Sorry kiddos, but we’re definitely most excited by the goat barbacoa tacos with handmade blue corn tortillas by 4505 Meats.  // Saturday, April 16, 10am-1pm, Ferry Plaza Farmers Market (Embarcadero), Reserve here.

Conversation with Koreatown: A Cookbook Authors

Join Deuki Hong and Matt Rodbard, authors of Koreatown: A Cookbook, in conversation with moderator and Lucky Peach Editor in Chief Chris Ying as they discuss their love affair with the grit and charm of Korean cooking in America. The New York Times bestseller is one of the most praised cookbooks of 2016 with over 100 delicious recipes. The authors will be signing copies of the book after the Q&A. //  Thursday, April 14, 6:30-7:30pm, 3885 Cesar Chavez St. (Noe Valley), omnivorebooks.com/events
