Foodie Agenda: Dungeness Feast, Seasonal Cocktails and More

By

Get into the holiday spirit this week with seasonal cocktails, traditional appetizers, and all the crab you can eat.

Sunday, December 15

Enjoy seasonal cocktails at Sausalito’s Fast Food Français (F3) pop-up bar with veteran bartenders Brian Felley and Mo Hodges (from Encinal Spirits). The event includes six different cocktails paired with a dish that reflects F3’s playful forte: American fast-food with a French twist. Diners will even have the option to describe whatever they are craving to a bartender who will then come up with a custom drink on the spot. Now that’s service. 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. 39 Caledonia Street, Sausalito

This might be your only opportunity to stuff your face with Dungeness crab for a good cause! The second annual Dungeness Feast and Benefit Dinner includes appetizers, soup, salad, and piles of crab served two ways: Heavenly and Hella Delicious. If you have room, there’s even dessert, but bring your own beer or wine. Music, revelry and appetizers start at 5:00 p.m. and dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds from the $75 tickets benefit the launch of Slow Fish USA in the Bay Area. 630 Tennessee Street @ Mariposa

Monday, December 16

Press it. Fill it. Wrap it. Onigilly teaches you the art of rice ball making just in time to impress your friends at holiday parties. Learn two different methods of preparing this traditional Japanese snack including how to make the perfect bowl of rice. Then feast on your own creations with edamame, miso soup, and a special treat. Tickets are $30, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. 343 Kearny Street @ Pine

Tuesday, December 17

This first-of-its-kind event is an exclusive opportunity to be behind the scenes with one of SF’s most beloved chefs. Chef Eskender of Radio Africa & Kitchen will take you on a tour of his kitchen and introduce you to Radio Africa’s new line of sauces. You’ll also learn how to make two of the sauces before they hit the market. Tickets are $45, 7:30 – 10:00 pm. 4800 Third Street @ Oakdale

Friday, December 20

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which means it’s almost time for the Drysdale Family’s annual holiday party. This year the festivities will be held at Cibo/Gordo PopUps with an old-fashioned cocktail party. The $100 ticket includes snacks (Caviar! Truffles!), two drinks, art, music, a champagne toast, and, of course, lots of merry patrons. The party starts at 7:00 p.m. 1201 Bridgeway, Sausalito
