DOSA UNVEILS A NEW STREET CART

Valencia Street is about to get a bright new addition to the neighborhood. Next weekend, DOSA is hosting a special brunch to unveil a beautiful new street cart inspired by Indian culture. Owners Anjan and Emily Mitra collaborated with local visual artist Namita Kapoor and her husband Gundi Vigfusson, a well-regarded photographer and fabricator, to create a vibrant street cart composed of bright colors, reflective jewels, cut glass, and more.  Dosa plans to use each side of the cart to various happenings at the restaurant. // Saturday, November 7, 11am - 2pm, 995 Valencia Street, San Francisco. DAY OF THE DEAD COCKTAILS AT COPITA

Copita is kicking off their third annual Day of the Dead fiesta with a new cocktail: the Espíritu, made with Espolon Blanco tequila, Campari, guava juice, St. Germain, agave, lime, and habanero ash. The tasty drink will be served alongside a special menu of seasonal offerings from the kitchen such as tuna crudo tostadas and pork belly tacos. Plus, the restaurant will be adorned in traditional decorations, including the obligatory marigolds, festive altars, and more. // October 31-November 2, 739 Bridgeway, Sausalito. A HARVEST DINNER AT SPOONBAR

On Sunday, November 8th, Spoonbar's Chef Louis Maldonado and Matt Norelli of Preston Farm + Vineyard are joining forces for an epic family-style feast served at the restaurant’s beautiful communal table. The seasonal menu will feature wine pairings from Preston Vineyards, as well as ingredients and goods sourced straight from the farm. You can look forward to merguez sausage with a kale and black turtle bean stew, a show-stopping Preston lamb dish and a fall-flavored quince and walnut cake warmed with smoked guava consommé and brown butter sherbet. Delish! // Sunday, November 8, 6-8:30pm,  219 Healdsburg Ave, Healdsburg. $65. Get tickets here

ORO BRINGS A DJ TO DINNER

It's not very often that a Dj as big as Neil Armstrong comes by to serenade you at dinner, but Oro is going for a truly unique dining experience. On Wednesday, October 28 the restaurant will welcome Neil for an exclusive three-hour standing event including drinks, passed appetizers, small plates (think grilled lamb heart and halibut chicharrones), and a mixtape on a cassette USB from Armstrong’s newest installment. // Wednesday, October 28, 8–11pm, 8 Mint Plaza, San Francisco. $75; Get tickets here

THE ADVOCATE LAUNCHES BRUNCH

If you haven't been to The Advocate yet, then you're missing out on one the best new dining experiences in Berkeley. But don't worry - now there are even more hours to get your fill of classic American dishes. As of October 24th, The Advocate is now open for brunch, from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Look out for dishes such as caramelized French toast with huckleberries and dulce de crescenza; granola with daily market fruits, whipped yogurt, and lime; and cazuela-baked eggs with peperonata, cannellini, and pickled pepper salsa. Plus, there are five new brunch cocktails to complement the daytime fare. Try the Advo Bloody, a modern take on a Bloody Mary featuring Sobieski vodka, tomato, chipotle, lime, urfa pepper and escabeche, or the Rhubarb Spritz, a rhubarb-inflected version of an Aperol Spritz, with City of London gin, Aperol, lemon, rhubarb, and cava. Either way, you just can't go wrong. // 2635 Ashby Ave, Berkeley. Make a reservation here.
