Cafe Prague is throwing a free pre-Valentine's Day block party to kick of the weekend in the FiDi. They're taking over Merchant Alley with beer, sausages and sauerkraut. Ladies can enjoy $3 pints from 4-7 pm, while the first 40 guys will receive vouchers for $2 off pints and 1/2 pints of Staropramen beer. DJ Doctor will be on the turntables to keep the mood going.

Saturday, Feb. 11

Ever wanted to drink an ice-cold beer out of a handmade goblet? Join Public Glass's popular Hot Glass Cold Beer event that combines glass demonstrations, live music and food and drinks for an awesome night out. Sunday, Feb. 12

Add this to your already-crazy SF Beer Week schedule: A Sunday Beer Supper at Jasper's Corner Tap & Kitchen that pairs a special three-course food menu with beers born from a head-to-head competition between Anchor Steam and Anderson Valley. That means two brews for each course! And Anchor Steam fans, listen up: The brewery made a beer especially for SF Beer Week.

Monday, Feb. 13

If you're looking to surprise your honey with lip-smacking Valentine's treats, order Belinda Leong's handmade Bleeding Heart Kouign-Amann (which we love), Grande macaron cake, chocolate caramel mousse cakes and more. Boxing Room (named one of SF's best new restaurants by us) is getting together a special Valentine's Day prix-fixe menu that involves deep-fried alligator, NOLA-style BBQ shrimp, cornmeal-crusted sweetbreads, and more. And don't forget the wine pairings (for an additional $20) or beer pairings (an extra $15).
