Lyrics Born to Perform at SOM, Doc's Clock to Donate Bar Sales to Japan Relief Efforts
Earlier in the week, we wrote about the slew of San Francisco restaurants rallying to support vicitims of the Japan quake. And now a few other fundraisers to report...
Lyrics Born is slated to perform tomorrow night at SOM as a fundraiser for Japan relief efforts. The event is free, but they'll be accepting cash donations at the door (as well as canned food and clothing). SOM also plans to donate 20% of their bar sales to the fundraiser.
On Friday, Doc's Clock is donating 50% of their bar sales to the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern CA (who have set up a Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund).
Chronicle Books (our sister company) is holding a bake sale on Monday, March 21 in their SOMA lobby (goodies baked by Chronicle staff members as well as donated by Poco Dolce) to benefit the Red Cross' efforts in Japan.
If you know of other Japan relief events or fundraisers, please let us know or post a comment.
