The weather’s heating up just in time for Pride weekend, which is sure to be even more sweet after the recent political rulings. So put on your multicolored short shorts, your feathered boas, and your mile-high heels, and get ready to celebrate our city’s most anticipated annual event. But what’s a celebration without the right cocktails and some festive treats?  We’ve rounded up a list of some truly fabulous delicacies to make this Pride weekend one you’ll remember.

Baker & Banker
In the spirit of Pride month, the husband and wife team at Baker and Banker have introduced a festive “Cosmo Cupcake,” made with vodka-spiced cake topped with lime curd and raspberry frosting. Adorned with pink frosting, rainbow sprinkles, and a happy face, these cupcakes are sure to be a Pride crowd pleaser.

Bluestem Brasserie
Find yourself peckish in the midst of the parade? There’s no better place to stop for a pick-me-up than Bluestem Brasserie, located in the center of the celebration on Market Street. Watch the parade from their rooftop patio while enjoying their “Rainbow Sherbert Boozy Sundae,” a decadent concoction of roasted raspberries with liqueur, orange wine gelee, pineapple granite, and vanilla ice cream.

Cityhouse at Parc 55 Wyndham Hotel
We know there will be more than a few hot little messes at this year's Pride festival, and why not join in with Cityhouse’s specialty cocktail? The “Little Hot Mess” features a whirlwind of X-Rated Fusion Liqueur, orange juice, and soda. Just be careful walking in those heels after a few of these!

E&O Asian Kitchen
Master mixologist Carlos Yturria has been whipping up a festive, fabulous cocktail all month long in celebration of Pride. This sweet and tangy cocktail made from a mix of Pueblo Viejo tequila, sake, lime juice, agave, and prickly pear will have you in high spirits this weekend.

The Mortimer at Hotel Adagio
Got your dancing shoes on and nowhere to go? Head to Union Square for Hotel Adagio’s “Dancing Queen” cocktail. This swanky lounge will satisfy your cravings and bring out the queen in all of us.

La Boulange Bakery
Locations all across the city are celebrating and supporting pride with their festive boxes of colorful macaroons. All month long, La Boulange has been donating a dollar from each purchase to the Richmond Ermet AIDS Foundation. Bask in the celebration of Pride while also making a difference in your community.
