Scenes of the City: Beer On Wheels Aboard the brewtruck

By

We hung out with the brewtruck crew a couple times recently, once while driving around our beautiful city, and again at Fort Mason. Either way, we thoroughly enjoyed the world’s first mobile taproom.

Think of your childhood school bus with all the seats ripped out and replaced with padded bench seats, a skylight above, mood lighting, music, and kegs of beer in the back. Oh, and we forgot to mention the driver will take you just about anywhere you want to go. Are you sold? Well, you should be. With a setup of six varieties of beer, the 40-foot custom bus and seating for 24 is perfect for joyriding with your friends.

As we bounced along, the brewtruck crew filled us in with full explanations of each beer, in order to educate riders about quality and obscure beers. All of the beers on tap, except for one Oregon beer, were from California.

Check out their website here to find out more about their operation and rent it for the upcoming Outside Lands weekend, so you can arrive in style and with some beer in your belly.
