Starting tomorrow, the deliciously colorful world of Yigit Pura is unleashed to the masses at the top of Macy’s Union Square with the opening of his flagship sweet shop, Tout Sweet Pâtisserie.
Pura, who charmed the viewers—and voters—on Bravo when he won the inaugural season of Top Chef: Just Desserts, realizes his dream of opening his own shop with a candy-colored ode to sweet and savory. Bright custom packaging and his signature macarons bounce off the modern white interior, with seating for 20 and a communal table—parfait for enjoying a morning pastry or afternoon snack (our eyes are on the grilled B3 sandwich: bread, butter and burrata).
Inspired desserts (a tart conjured for engineering mastermind Nikola Tesla), custom cakes (brides, take note), and gifts packaged in rich raspberry red are worth celebrating.
