Later in the East Bay, SF chef and Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen owner Evan Bloom supplies the nosh at Deli Summit, a meeting of the minds that will take place at 7 p.m. in Berkeley. Hear the roundtable group of chefs, deli owners, and authors discussing the state of the Jewish delicatessen in America, and sample house-baked bialys and schmears. Also, several local wineries, including Vinos Unicos and Hirsch Vineyards, are joining Wine 4 Japan Fundraiser at the Commonwealth Club to put on a swanky tasting event with all proceeds benefitting the Red Cross’ ongoing Japan disaster relief efforts.
