Wine Taste for Less at the Four Seasons

There's no shortage of recession deals sprouting up around town, but if you like wine, this one's especially enticing. Every Tuesday through the end of May, the Four Seasons San Francisco will host a "Meet the Winemaker" series, where you can mingle with winemakers and taste for less.


Here's the lineup:

April 7: Jerome Chery, Saintsbury Winery in Napa. Taste his 2007 Saintsbury Carneros Chardonnay, 2006 Saintsbury Brown Ranch Chardonnay, 2006 Sainstbury Carneros Pinot Noir and 2006 Saintsbury Toynon Pinot Noir. The cost per flight is $35.

April 21: Bob Craig and Elton Sloan, Robert Craig Winery in Napa. Sample their 2007 Robert Craig Durell Vineyard Chardonnay, 2005 Robert Craig Affinity Cabernet, 2004 Robert Craig Howell Mountain Zinfandel and 2005 Robert Craig Mt. Veeder Cabernet. The cost per flight is $40.

May 5: Join Oded Shakked and Michael Melgoza, Longboard Vineyards in Sonoma. They’ll be pouring their 2007 Longboard Sauvignon Blanc, 2007 Longboard Pinot Noir, 2005 Longboard Syrah Russian River and 2006 Longboard Rochioli Cabernet Sauvignon. The cost per flight is $30.

May 12: Pete Seghesio, Seghesio Vineyards in Sonoma. Taste his 2007 Seghesio Arneis, 2008 Seghesio Pinot Grigio, 2006 Seghesio Old Vine Zinfandel and 2006 Seghesio Sangiovese. The cost per flight is $30.
